Finally… Grace sees me in a different light. The banter is flirty, the sex is fun, and the future looks fabulous.I just hope she feels the same way when she finds out what I did.
Rather than rehash the plot in this novella, I’m just going to lay out for you why this was my favorite book in the series so far. Because truth be told, I couldn’t cover all that goes down in this book, it is insane. And I loved every minute!
If you are a big fan of JA Huss’ previous work, like me, than this addition to the series probably got you all sorts of excited. This has all the elements I’ve come to love from her work, shocking revelations, suspense, some angst, and yes, more hot sex. What’s so great is how she weaves her trademark style into this book.
Grace is graceful. Grace is strong, and determined, and brave.
(How could I not love this book when the author says such nice things about me, lol.)
Some of my suspicions from the previous novella, Block, were confirmed. And some, not so much. But we learn A LOT about Grace’s past. It is dark and sad. Vaughn begins to understand more about her escape from reality into the fantasy world of social media. The reason behind it is actually disturbing. Heeeeelllo PTSD!
I desperately need that fantasy life. Reality is not my thing. Because my reality is . . . (I’m leaving off the spoiler here).
Did you dislike Vaughn in book 1? Maybe a little. I’ve said it before, but it seems with each book we get another layer to Vaughn and he becomes even more likable. But wait, did you read the last part of the synopsis? That secret is a doozy!
This book is full of twists and turns that kept me hooked from page one. Just when I thought I had things figured out, our evil author throws one last curve ball.
If you aren’t a fan of cliffhangers, this one is a big one. Good news is, we only have to wait 1 more week for the next release.
*Side note: I love reading JA’s End of Book Shit. It’s actually really interesting to see the process of selecting covers, writing plot lines, etc.
