Welcome to the first annual Shortie Awards!!!
It’s like the Shorty Awards, only spelled differently and better (at least in our eyes it is). The title of our awards should be obvious – we are all short. YaYa is 5’1″, Grace is 5’2″ and Michelle is 5’3.75″ (yes, she had to count the 3/4 inches *eye roll*).
Since the 3 of us all like very different genres, with the occasional agreement (see Tiffany Reisz), we each had fun in creating our own award categories. Don’t forget to check our FB page for the next 3 days, as we will be doing a giveaway based on our picks.
YaYa – 12/21
Michelle – 12/22
Grace – 12/23
Reader’s Poll results on 12/24
First up, YaYa. Our IG Goddess, Mistress of the Dark, beta-reader extraordinaire, and master of the book teasers.
Book of the Year
The Saint by Tiffany Reisz
As you already know she’s my favorite author. So when she gave me the beginning of my Most Favorite Book BF and GF epic love story, I died went to Sinners heaven and lived it over and over again. A Priest and his Mistress. How amazing does that sound?
Author of the Year
Tiffany Reisz is my All Time Favorite author and always will be. The 8th Circle and The Sinners will live in my heart forever. She’s funny, sweet, amazing with her fans and I can’t get enough of her. I’ve even grown to love her fiancé Andrew. What a pair they are. You know how readers some times say I will read her shopping list? I know she’s a vegetarian and well I’ll eat a dinosaur if they’d exist, so maybe I won’t enjoy what’s on that list as much, but I’m sure even that is as Erotic as her work. You want to be drawn into a series you will never want to stop reading…The Original Sinners Series is what you’re looking for. If you also want to know if she can write outside her comfort, of course, check out the rest of her works. Just don’t even think about stealing My Priest❤️
Breakout Author of the Year
I picked up a few “New Authors” this year. It wasn’t until recently thanks to Grace I picked up this book called Nine Minutes and I couldn’t believe this was the authors first book. Weeks later we text and chat about it. This man named Grizz captured me and…let me leave it at that. I expect a comeback and a revenge.
Favorite Thriller of the Year
In the Company of Killers Series by JA Redmerski
In 2013 I picked up a book named Killing Sarai followed by Reviving Izabel. Victor Faust became my favorite killer instantly. Sarai had done a complete 180 and I thought what a great pair these two are. Then I met Fredrik. The broken man who won me over with the story of the love of his life. Ok also how he interrogates people. Ruthless. Each book concentrated more and more on each of their lives. Introducing new Killers and joining forces to form their order. It’s not an easy life for them. Then last but not least Redmerski gives me Nora. What is is about that name? Strong female leads. This woman did something I never thought was possible. For one she survived Fredrik and two she broke them. All of them. Now she has joined the order and I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us. Bring on the KILLERS!!!

Oh the creator of King Jonathan has taken me on a new journey. Another Drazen, Fiona, and the two men trying to fix her shall I say. She knows very well how I feel about this series. Many PMs with her and her assistant Kaylee. I’m Team Dr. Chapman and I’m not turning back.
Sad to say Goodbye
Ten Tiny Breaths by KA Tucker
Kinky Fuckery of the Year
Hostile Takeover (Knights of the Board Room #5) by Joey Hill
Ugly Cry of the Year
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I thought that after crying for God knows how many chapters it would be easier to watch the movie. What was I thinking? Any time I’m at the stores as I see the book or movie I want to crawl into fetus position and cry my little heart out.
Book Hangover of the Year
The King by Tiffany Reisz
Yes again. TR gutted me with Kingsley’s story. The years he awaited his true love. How he never thought he’d see them again. How he wanted to build his empire for his true love and people that were like them. It felt raw, new. I didn’t think she could more emotions out of me after The Saint. Once again TR proves she can do that to me. The Feels.
MC Series of the Year
The Gypsy Brothers by Lili St. Germain
I heard about this series through Nashoda Rose. I got on the roller coaster and didn’t stop until the ride came to an end. What an end it was. Highly recommend it and all the books are out so no excuses on waiting for the next book to come out.
