They have it all; fiery hot sexual chemistry, an undeniable mental connection, a profound emotional bond, and a newfound trust as they promise each other, ‘no more secrets’. Theirs is a sensual, magical love affair of epic proportions.
When their perfect world is shaken by a dangerous criminal out to extract painful revenge on them, the fierce protectiveness that rules Alex becomes a single purposed objective that will drive him beyond his limits and make him do things even he didn’t know he was capable of.
This book had loads of suspense, more so this book than the other two that’s for sure. My heart kept pounding at every page that I would turn on my Ipad. Book 3, you see Angel and Alex’s love getting stronger. They are blissfully happy, but with the impending trial of that douche bag Mark Swanson, holds a very dark and ugly cloud over their relationship.
With Mark Swanson out on bail, Alex will do anything and everything in his power to keep Angel safe. If you’ve read the other two books, you know that Alex was a “no commitment” kind of guy. He went into his previous relationship and letting them know from the start, that it was only physical and that’s it. When he meet Angel, that all changed. In book 2, he professed his love for Angel. Angel was a little skeptical at first (and even a little bit in this book), she knew the man whore Alex was in the past. Angel wasn’t sure if she could be all in with her heart.
As the book continues, Alex is very stressed, even more so that he has to be go away on business and that scum bag Swanson is still around. Swanson has some big cajones (balls). Certain events take place while Alex is away and he asks help from unlikely sources.
The drama and suspension that takes place will have you on the edge of your seat. I wanted to eat some popcorn while reading because I felt I was watching some action packed movie.
Overall, there is an HEA. The sexy times between Alex and Angel are hot, hot, hot. I love how Angel although a tough cookie to boot, she eventually let Alex into heart. She’s so stubborn, but if you’ve read the other books, you’ll understand why and what made her choose the profession that she is in. I’m going to miss Alex and Angel that’s for sure. Ms. Aymes really did a great job with this series, especially upping the suspension of the book. It was a really good build up. I cannot wait to read more of Ms. Aymes’ other books.

Alex closed his eyes, his heart swelling inside his chest and more blood pushing into his cock. His breath hitched. Fuck, she excited him more than anyone ever had, but that wasn’t even it. He wanted to make sure she understood. He ran the tip of his nose down hers, and his lower lip nudged hers. “I intend to, but I mean, I don’t want us to end. I want you in my bed, my body inside yours, to give you so much pleasure you can’t form a coherent thought. But more, I just want you with me. Next to me. I want to take care of you, to protect you. Always.” His eyes opened and locked with hers as he stilled. “I need you to believe you are the only thing that matters to me now. The only fucking thing.”
After Dark Series Reading Order
I’m a single mother of one daughter, Olivia. She’s amazing in every way.
I was born in the Midwestern United States and educated at a private university where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Administration.
I’ve always been creative with art, music, theater and writing. I decided to write a story as a way to build a network for a business venture. The reader support of my stories and my overwhelming desire to find out where my characters would take me, soon had the writing morphing the business. No one was more shocked than I. When readers began nominating my work for online awards, it took my breath away and only made me love it more. It soon became clear that writing was, and should be, my focus.
